South Dakota Bans Sex Changes for Children

Gov. Kristi Noem Signs “Help Not Harm” Bill into Law

Washington, D.C. – Today, Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, praised South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem for signing H.B.1080, the “Help Not Harm” bill which would ban doctors from prescribing puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgical interventions for minors.

“We are grateful to Kristi Noem for signing the ‘Help Not Harm’ bill. No more will children in South Dakota be subjected to so-called ‘treatments’ that ruin their lives,” said Linda Schauer, CWA of South Dakota State Director. “We appreciate Gov. Noem’s leadership and look forward to other states protecting their children as well. Hopefully, our nation will look back at this episode as a dark stain on our history.”

South Dakota is the second state this year to adopt policies that will prevent harmful surgeries and experimental drugs from being administered to children who have expressed a desire to transition to the opposite sex, bringing the total to seven states with these protections. Several others are moving forward.

“Our children are vulnerable and impressionable, and they deserve protection. Thank you, Gov. Noem, for protecting them,” said Penny Nance, CEO and President of CWALAC. “Puberty blockers, hormones, and surgery don’t solve the depression, anxiety, and confusion children are experiencing, they aggravate it and can cause irreversible harm. Doctors are in place to care for and help children, not harm them. Our hope is that many states will look to South Dakota as an example and follow in their footsteps.”

CWALAC has been at the very forefront of this battle for our nation’s children by urging legislators and lawmakers to protect children in the medical field and hold those healthcare professionals abusing their position accountable.

Calls Needed to Protect Vulnerable Children

By | Texas | No Comments

America’s progressive culture is fueling the rise of gender modification in minors. The drive to normalize and affirm “gender identity dysphoria” is resulting in radical treatment for children. There are currently 56 transgender pediatric clinics in the U.S., and one of those is in Dallas, Texas. The Gender Education and Care Interdisciplinary Support (Genecis) Program is at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Medical Center.

SB 1646, sponsored by State Sen. Charles Perry (R-District 28), has passed the Senate and was referred to the House Public Health Committee. This legislation would prohibit children from receiving puberty suppression prescription drugs, cross-sex hormones, or medical procedures or surgeries for the purpose of transitioning genders or gender reassignment.

Children have a constitutional right to be protected from life-altering decisions until they are of age. Examples of these include laws on smoking, marriage, voting, tattoos, piercing, school attendance, etc. Other helpful information may be accessed at Protecting Vulnerable Children – Concerned Women for America.

Take Action!
The legislative session is nearly over (just a couple of weeks left), so it is critical that you contact the members of the House Public Health Committee ASAP and ask them to schedule a hearing immediately on SB 1646.

Remember, Jesus said: “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe to stumble, it would be better for him if, with a heavy millstone hung around his neck, he had been cast into the sea.” Mark 9:42

Pray:

  1. Pray that there will be bi-partisan recognition of the irreparable harm that children are suffering now and will suffer in years to come should this bill not pass.
  2. Pray that the members of both Texas legislative chambers move swiftly to protect the most vulnerable among us.

Transgenderism vs. Transformation-Episode 2

By | Legislative Updates, News and Events, Sexual Exploitation, Vulnerable Children | No Comments

Radical gender ideology has a chokehold on the very institutions that are meant to protect, educate, and uplift our children. Now more than ever, it is critical that parents are aware of the issues their children are facing and the permanent changes these mystery drugs being pushed on them can inflict. Our very own Vice President of Government Relations, Doreen Denny, sat back down with Star Parker to unpack exactly what this means and how people of faith must activate to fight back.
