Action Needed: 1st and 14th Amendment Rights Threatened

By | North Dakota | No Comments

Will you help pass a great piece of legislation? An important bill relating to preferred pronouns and school policies on expressed gender was heard by the Senate Judiciary Committee members on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. A member of the committee, Sen. Larry Luick (R-District 25), sponsored the bill. See his contact information below and send Sen. Luick a message to thank him!

The First and Fourteenth Amendment rights of employees are being threatened. SB 2231 protects those rights! Forcing teachers to use “preferred pronouns” infringes on a teacher’s right to free speech and the free exercise of religion. Policies that require a student to be referred to by gender, non-binary, or plural pronouns, or other gendered languages that are different from the student’s biological sex violate the religious belief that God assigns sex at conception and is a conflict for those unwilling to compromise their beliefs.

CWA of North Dakota submitted written and online audio testimony on the bill. The Senate Judiciary members will be voting on SB 2231 as early as Monday, January 30.

The Senate Committee Members must hear from those who stand with us on prohibiting a public school from adopting a policy or practice regarding expressed gender. Please urge the committee members to give SB 2231 a do-pass recommendation.

Please Take Action:

  1. Email or call the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee listed below my signature line and ask them to vote a “Do Pass” on SB 2231. If you are a member of Concerned Women for America of North Dakota, please let them know. Do not hesitate to leave a message on their voicemail.
  2. Forward this email to family and friends! Every email message and every phone call are counted!

Suggested message:

Please vote “Do Pass” on HB 2231. Protect the First and Fourteenth Amendment rights of Public School teachers.

Sincerely,
Your name and town

Please Pray: Pray for our legislators on the Senate Judiciary Committee by name that God would give them the wisdom and understanding to accomplish His purposes.

Gov. Wolfe Insults Female Athletes

By | Pennsylvania | No Comments

Now that the Pennsylvania Legislature is in recess until September, I wanted to update you on the Women’s Sports Act and remind you about the upcoming Pennsylvania March for Life.

Women’s Sport Act

As promised, Gov. Tom Wolf (Democrat) vetoed HB972, the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act. This bill would have provided a fair playing field for female athletes by banning biological boys identifying as girls from participating in girls’ sports at the K-12 and college levels. Gov. Wolf’s veto insults every Pennsylvania girl working to excel in her sport. Women’s sports should not be open to just anyone, and we will continue to stand up for the rights, safety, and privacy of female athletes. Since supporting women in sports is historically a bipartisan position, my question is, why doesn’t Gov. Wolf want to protect women?

Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Pennsylvania has been at the center of the fight to stand for the truth about the sexes and to save women’s sports. We are standing up for the rights of female athletes, and we will not back down. We sincerely thank the Pennsylvania Legislature for standing on the side of female athletes and passing the legislation. We are also grateful to each of you who made calls, sent emails, and texts on the bill. You can read more about our efforts to fight for female athletes here and here.

Gov. Bel Edwards: Sign the Bill!

By | Louisiana | No Comments

We have reason to celebrate in Louisiana! Last Thursday, May 27, SB 156, the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 77/17. The bill passed both chambers with bipartisan support (13 Democrats voted for the bill). I previously wrote to you about the bill here and here.

Thank you for sending messages to the House and Senate members about this important bill that protects girls’ sports! Your voice made the difference.

But the work is not over. I need you to make one more call to Gov. John Bel Edwards (Democrat)! It is very important that he hears from those who stand with him on protecting girls’ sports.

Take Action!

  1. Contact Gov. Bel Edwards and ask him to stand with female athletes and sign SB 156. Let him know that you stand with him in support of the bill. Phone: (225)342-7015 | Email. If you are a member of Concerned Women for America of Louisiana, be sure to let him know.
  2. Forward this information to family and friend

Please pray for Gov. Bel Edwards that he will sign the bill. Pray that God would give him the wisdom and understanding to accomplish His purposes.
