May Call to Prayer: Summer break for Teachers, Students, Homeschool Families, and Administrators

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

As we begin a new month, we press on with our monthly prayer initiative – seeking God’s revival in our state.

As the long and demanding school year comes to a close, teachers, students, homeschool families, and administrators across Illinois enter the summer season.  This is a time to rest, reflect, and be renewed.

Our prayer focus this month is on teachers, students, homeschool families, and administrators. Please join us in lifting them up in prayer:

  • Rest and renewal – Pray for true rest and refreshment for every teacher and student. May they “unplug” for the summer and be restored and encouraged in mind, body, and spirit.
  • Safety – Pray for protection over all summer activities, including travel, camps, sports, and daily activities. May the Lord watch over every child at every moment, seen and unseen.
  • Growth – Pray for continued academic and spiritual growth, that this summer would be a time of deepening faith.
  • Relationships – Pray for positive influences and friendships, especially for those who feel alone or isolated.
  • Opportunities for ministry – Lift up summer camps, Vacation Bible Schools, and other outreach efforts, that lives would be impacted and hearts drawn closer to God.

Thank you for joining us in prayer this month. Consider printing this e-alert and placing it where you will see it daily as a reminder to pray.
