Nance on SCOTUS Vaccine Mandate Decisions

By | News and Events, Religious Liberty | No Comments

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Supreme Court of the United States today struck down the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate for private employers with 100 or more employees.

Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America, gave the following statement responding to today’s mixed decision:

“The Supreme Court’s decision to strike down President Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate for businesses with over a hundred employees was an important victory for every American’s individual and religious freedom.

“It is troubling that the Court suggests that such a mandate could be enforced on healthcare workers and others. Forcing compliance on frontline healthcare workers will cause hundreds of hard-working Americans to lose their jobs; many of these healthcare workers have natural immunity from prior infections. As the case goes forward, we hope the Biden Administration finally listens to the American people and enacts reasonable, unifying policies that actually help people, instead of hurting them further.

“Concerned Women for America will continue to stand up for individual freedom for every American to make the best decision on the COVID-19 vaccination for themselves and their families.”

Nance Joins Congressional Leaders in Opposition to Vax Mandate

By | News and Events | No Comments

Concerned Women for America CEO and President, Penny Nance joins other conservative leaders calling on Congress to oppose the Biden Administration vaccine mandate: “This employee vaccine mandate shows a complete disregard for our civil liberties under the Constitution. It reveals to us a President who has lost touch with the people he represents and who now seeks to impose his policy choices by abusing the constitutional powers granted to him by ‘We the People.’”

Call It Like It Is: Biden’s Humanitarian Crisis

Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women for America‘s CEO and President, Penny Nance, issued the following statement regarding the recent events in Afghanistan:

“The heartbreaking events that unfolded over the weekend in Afghanistan are a direct result of the incompetence of President Biden and his administration officials. Once again, we see this administration exercise weak leadership and turn its back on the most vulnerable groups they claim to support: women and children.

” Women and young girls in Afghanistan will be forced to return to life under a regime of oppression. They will face brutal violations of their most fundamental rights and face death, sex slavery, and other grim situations at the hand of the Taliban.

“The silence of so-called ‘feminist’ and ‘women’s’ groups is deafening. There is perhaps nothing more traitorous to the female sex than Sharia Law. Every single group that claims to support women should be denouncing President Biden for his actions putting these women at risk.

“President Biden must immediately close our southern Border and use those resources to provide temporary housing to the thousands of allies and their families he has abandoned. Leaving those who worked alongside U.S. troops for the last 20 years behind to face life under the Taliban is surely a death sentence.

“If this Administration is so inept that it cannot take care of these vulnerable children, women, and girls, here’s my message: bring them to me. As Biden’s humanitarian crisis unfolds, Concerned Women for America will work tirelessly to find loving homes for these innocent lives that will be subjugated to rape, sex slavery, and other horrible conditions at the brutal hands of the Taliban.”

Biden’s Foreign Policy Plans: Humanitarian Crisis

By | National Sovereignty, News and Events | No Comments

Waking up this morning felt like being trapped in a nightmare or a scene straight out of a Hollywood film. Just short of 20 years after the terror attacks of 9/11, the Taliban, in a matter of days, has taken over the country of Afghanistan.

Videos have emerged showing people jumping on the side of planes taxing down the runway just for the hope of escaping the impending rule of the Taliban.

The Taliban was created in 1994 by Mulla Mohammad Omar gathering a group of students educated in traditional schools. The international community has labeled the Taliban a terrorist group due to their extreme enforcement and misinterpretation of the Islamic religious law.

In 1996, the Taliban ruled Afghanistan. During this time, women were prevented from attending schools or working outside their homes (except those working in healthcare), and it was required to wear a burka to cover a woman’s body and face. Any attempt to break their laws was punished publicly with lashing or by death.

After September 11, the U.S. with the support of the international community, mainly England and Canada, deployed military and civilian personnel to extinguish the disruptive Taliban threat and build up the government of Afghanistan.  In later years, the  allies reached a point where they felt that the Taliban had been neutralized and the Afghan army had been strengthened to the point that the allies could move into an advisory position doing training for both military and civilian personnel. Since then, U.S. troops have stayed in Afghanistan to help local allies fight back against the Taliban regime that has not given up on their efforts to take back the power.

Former President Trump negotiated a deal reaching an agreement with the Taliban, setting some conditions to withdraw U.S. troops, among those to respect the lives of the American people and refrain from committing any terrorist attacks.

Instead of following through with this plan, President Biden rushed to undo everything that his predecessor did, bringing him to a disastrous decision: withdraw troops without making sure to agree to some conditions. His decision has left behind those who risked their lives fighting the Taliban regime alongside the U.S.  Now, our Afghani allies left behind face a grim future – if any future at all.

Among those people, we also find women and girls who, most of the time are forgotten. Women and girls will return to a regime of oppression. They will face brutal violations of their most fundamental rights, such as having access to education, the opportunity to work, the freedom to express their views.

The world is in shock after the videos circulating where men risk their lives to escape the upcoming situation under the Taliban regime. Women and girls do not have that opportunity. They are forbidden to be out.

During this looming humanitarian crisis, CWA will keep alive the voices of those women, girls, and children who are among the most vulnerable.  Voices who are screaming to the world for help, facing death, sex slavery, and other situations will leave a mark in their lives for the rest of their lives.

Penny on CBN: Your Tax Dollars Will Soon Be Promoting Overseas Abortions

Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America addressed President Joe Biden’s Executive Order that rescinded the Mexico City Policy, “It is incredibly tragic that the Biden administration has departed from the Trump administration’s position, which is in line with 75 percent of Americans who do not want their tax dollars to be sent abroad in order to fund abortion in other countries.”

Penny Nance: Hypocritical Liberals ‘Believe’ Tara Reade, But They Will Vote for Joe Biden Anyway

By | Blog, CEO, Feminist / Women's Issues, News and Events, Sexual Exploitation, Social / Cultural Issues | No Comments

CWA’s CEO and President Penny Young Nance wrote the following op-ed published in The Washington Times.

“Remember when Senate Democrats, Hollywood A listers and their media shills decreed that we must always “believe women?” Well, apparently that’s over now. Tara Reade’s sexual assault accusations against Vice President Joe Biden have forced them to change the narrative exposing what we always knew was a cynical plot against U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Concerned Women for America (CWA), the organization I lead, had leaders from around the country present for every second of the now infamous Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. We saw Alyssa Milano in her “Believe Women” sash, supporting Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. She was one of the most vocal supporters of the #Metoo movement (though not the only one by any stretch) and adamant that we must believe women. “I believe survivors. No on Kavanaugh,” read the sign she carried around.

The evidence didn’t matter to them. Justice Kavanaugh was guilty from the beginning — even before an investigation. And certainly after, though no new information surfaced. Remember, Justice Kavanaugh had undergone, not one, not two or three, but six background investigations before being nominated to the Supreme Court. There was nothing to back up Dr. Ford’s claims. The people who Dr. Ford said were with her at the alleged party denied ever being there with her. Those were her friends. And she did not remember anything else. She did not remember the exact date or the place. Nothing backed up her story.”

By | Blog, CEO, Culture, Legislative Updates, News and Events | No Comments

Now that Presidential Candidate Joe Biden is accused by Tara Reade of Sexual Assault, the same democratic senators like Kirsten Gillibrand and Maize Hirono and Hollywood celebrities like Alyssa Milano and Amy Schumer are echoing our very sentiments from the Kavanaugh days of due process! At the end of the day, principles and consistency are important. Women should have the freedom to come forward and tell their stories but it must be investigated. Listen as our CEO and President, Penny Nance hosts and our VP of Government Relations, Doreen Denny discuss the latest.
