No Longer a Government of Laws

The world is upside down. I need not convince you of that. You are living through it. Words are violence, they tell us, but some physical violence is mostly peaceful. Standing as a sign of respect for the national anthem is not admirable; kneeling disrespectfully, however, is praiseworthy. Our “smartest and brightest” think it fair for men to compete in women’s sports and even affirm men can get pregnant. Just a few years ago, most people, even on the left, mocked the irrational idea. But the nonsense dominates our top leadership today. I recently came across a clip of Texas State Representative James Talrico (D- Texas 52) speaking in opposition to a bill protecting female categories in sports. Law and order are also suffering under this cultural transformation. John Adams famously called us “a nation of laws, not men.” But it is increasingly evident that this is no longer the case. The stunning corruption we are witnessing at the U.S. Department of Justice and beyond speaks of a nation, not of laws but of lawlessness…
