“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” –Isaiah 5:20

Critical Race Theory letter published

My letter to the editor regarding the Critical Race Theory was published in the Rapid City Journal on August 11. You may read the letter here.

Sens. Thune and Rounds oppose the “infrastructure” bill

No doubt you have been hearing much about the “infrastructure” bill being debated and rushed through Congress. Tucked into this seemingly benign bill is the Digital Equity Act, which gives special protections for sexual orientation and gender identity in broadband programs.

Senators are using non-political roads, bridges, and broadband policies as cover to promote the aggressive ideology of the Left. This so-called “infrastructure” bill does nothing less than pave a highway to enshrining radical gender ideology goals of the Equality Act into federal law.

Additionally, there is no justification for the high price tag associated with this bill. With the current national U.S. debt exceeding $28 trillion, this bill is nothing but more irresponsible, reckless spending with no end in sight.

Even though the bill passed in the Senate with 19 Republicans voting with all the Democrats, we are grateful that our South Dakota senators opposed this bill.

Please contact them and thank them.

The bill now heads to the House. We will keep you updated on the bill’s progress and any action needed when it is time for a vote.

Washington, D.C. — Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), has voiced strong objection to provisions in the Senate Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that are using “infrastructure” projects as cover to promote divisive, radical policies.

Penny Nance, CEO and President of CWALAC, had this to say:
“Today, Concerned Women for America members across the nation call on: Senators Blunt (R-Missouri), Burr (R-North Carolina), Capito (R-West Virginia), Cassidy (R-Louisiana), Collins (R-Maine), Cornyn (R-Texas), Cramer (R-North Dakota), Crapo (R-Idaho), Fischer (R-Nebraska), Grassley (R-Iowa), Hoeven (R-North Dakota), McConnell (R-Kentucky), Murkowski (R-Alaska), Portman (R-Ohio), Risch (R-Idaho), Romney (R-Utah), Rounds (R-South Dakota), Sullivan (R-Alaska), Tillis (R-North Carolina), and Wicker (R-Mississippi) to stand firm against this frivolous wasteful government spending that will pass on crippling debt to future generations of Americans.

“There is no justification for the high price tag associated with this bill. With the current national U.S. debt exceeding $28 trillion, this bill is nothing but more irresponsible, reckless spending with no end in sight.

“In an evenly divided Senate, legitimate disagreement and discourse should be respected. This ‘infrastructure’ bill will waste trillions of dollars and includes innumerable controversial provisions that have nothing to do with actual meaningful investments in American infrastructure.  CWALAC opposes this Trojan horse of a bill, and we urge the above Senators to stand firm against it.

We remind these Senators that under their leadership, since 2000, the national debt has grown from $5 trillion to a staggering $28 trillion. This is contrary to the principles most of them embraced as their reasoning for entering public service.  This vote will serve as a legacy of debt and irresponsible spending as many of them leave the Senate.  Shame.”

Say No to the “Infrastructure” Bill

By | News and Events | No Comments

ACTION: Contact your U.S. Senators THIS WEEK and ask them to oppose social experiments in the $1.2 T “Infrastructure” bill.

Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) has signaled our intent to include a vote against the INVEST in America Act on our scorecard if it continues to promote Leftist social objectives above non-political infrastructure projects. Among the objectionable provisions is the Digital Equity Act which gives special protections for sexual orientation and gender identity in broadband programs. That’s not a “bipartisan” policy – that’s nonsense!

The Senate has failed in this bipartisan charade, and it is time for conservatives to say NO.

Senators are using non-political roads, bridges, and broadband policies as cover to promote the aggressive ideology of the Left. This so-called “infrastructure” bill does nothing less than pave a highway to enshrining radical gender ideology goals of the Equality Act into federal law.

Please call your U.S. Senators’ Washington, D.C., offices THIS WEEK and tell them it is time to oppose the “INVEST in America Act” social experiments. Seventeen Republicans voted with Democrats to put the $1.2 trillion spending express in motion with these bad provisions that Democrats promised will be followed by another $3.5 trillion Leftist spending spree. It is time for all Republicans to stop this recklessness in its tracks.
