Concerned Women for America (CWA) is not ashamed of the Gospel—that’s why we celebrate Faith Month every April. In a culture that too often celebrates pride, self-identity, and selfishness, Faith Month calls Christians nationwide to live out their faith. Every year, believers from all over America come together during the month of April in prayer, worship, and action. This year’s Faith Month was a fruitful one—here’s a recap:
Good News Campaign
CWA kicked off Faith Month on a strong footing by sharing the Gospel in our city and equipping our grassroots to evangelize in their communities nationwide. Check out our Good News Campaign video here.
Young Women for America ambassador Tori Graham followed through with a clear and compelling Gospel presentation for the CWA blog, writing:
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” There was a barrier between man and God. This broke His heart as it kept us away from a relationship with our Creator. God then sent His only Son, Jesus, to earth to die a brutal death on a cross, carry the sin of the world for us, and then rise from the dead, displaying to all that not even death itself can keep Him down.
CWA exists to proclaim the trust of the Gospel above all things. The good news is our solid foundation—why not share it with the world?
On Capitol Hill
Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Mississippi) and Rep. Mary Miller (R-Illinois 15th) once again led the charge for Faith Month in Congress this year. In the Senate, Sen. Hyde-Smith entered Faith Month into the Congressional Record along with an overview of the foundational importance of Christianity in American history. Read from the Congressional Record here.
On the House of Representatives side, Rep. Miller gathered video testimonies from two dozen members of Congress, each professing their personal faith in Christ, the United States’ distinctly Christian civil religion, and the importance of Christianity in public service and governance. Watch the video here.
CWA thanks these members of Congress for boldly sharing their faith: Sen. Cindy-Hyde Smith (R-Mississippi), Mary Miller (R-Illinois 15th), Rep. Andy Harris (R-Maryland 1st), Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyoming), Rep. Russ Fulcher (R-Idaho 1st), Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Alabama 4th), Rep. Randy Weber (R-Texas 14th), Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-Indiana 3rd), Rep. Be sure to thank these men and women if they represent you in Congress!
Women for America Leaders
CWA’s Women for America leaders are the lifeblood of Faith Month. Some of the highlights this year include Concerned Women for America of Oklahoma’s celebration as Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a proclamation declaring April as Faith Month. Here are our leaders in the Oklahoma state capitol with the signed proclamation:

In Michigan, Gov. Nathan Bocks declared April as Faith Month, and in Pennsylvania, a bipartisan group of state senators introduced legislation commemorating April as Faith Month.
With a photo highlighting many generations of believers and her commitment to family, CWA of Virginia State Director Teresa Pregnall won our Fly Your Flag photo contest on social media:

Young Women for America
In their communities and college campuses across the country, Young Women for America (YWA) ambassadors let their lights shine for Faith Month. YWA leaders met with local faith leaders to discuss Christian involvement in the public square, hosted book clubs on religious liberty, and encouraged their communities to gather in worship. In Tennessee, YWA Rutherford hosted a community worship night, and in California, YWA Inland Empire gathered around the Christian flag for a great photo-op:

This month, CWA let our lights shine before men, and the good news is that we won’t stop sharing the Good News now that Faith Month is over.
