Greetings from Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Pennsylvania! How exciting it has been for me to say, “Concerned Women for America of Pennsylvania!” After many years without state representation, it has been a thrill and an honor this last month to watch God move as individuals step up to join me in establishing a voice for all of us on a state level. Within just a month, we have approved two chapter leaders, and, drumroll please, our first Steering Committee member! I am pleased to welcome Vanessa Saylor to our leadership team as Chapter Coordinator. Vanessa is an encourager at heart and loves to encourage women. I am blessed to serve with Vanessa as she assists me in inspiring, recruiting, and training new Prayer/ Action Leaders across the state.

Vanessa is from Berks County, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her husband of almost 22 years. Her church home is Berean Bible Church in Pottstown where she has attended for over 20 years and is active in the JOY Builders Women’s Ministry. She is a board member for Lifted Up Ministries Foundation, a private Christian foundation formed for the purpose of lifting individuals and families out of poverty by providing financial assistance and mentoring.

Vanessa holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Social Work from Temple University. She is currently a doctoral student in the pastoral care and counseling program at Liberty University where she is an online adjunct professor of social work. Her life verse is Psalm 46:10: “He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth’” which speaks of God’s holiness and sovereignty and our need to depend on Him alone.

What exactly is a Prayer/Action Chapter?  What does a typical one look like? Contact Vanessa at Cwachaptercoordinator@gmail.com  or 610-310-4812, and she will be happy to let you know what is involved.  You are needed!
