If you are like me, you are deeply concerned by the recent events in Deerfield District 109. On March 13, a courageous mother, Nicole Georgas, addressed the school board, sharing her daughter’s experience of being urged to change clothes in the presence of a biological male student identifying as female. Watch the mother’s testimony here (starting at 43:05). Listen past her testimony to the treatment she received from the other speakers.
According to reports, three authoritative figures from the administration requested that the girls change for physical education while the transgender student was present. This incident led the mother to file a civil suit with the U.S. Department of Justice which has led to, as of last week, an investigation by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights.
It is time to act. Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Illinois invites all mothers, fathers, grandparents, and taxpayers to attend the upcoming District 109 Board of Education meeting to stand in solidarity with this mother, her 13-year-old daughter, and the other girls and their families affected.
School Board Meeting Details:
Date: Thursday, April 10, 2025
Time: 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Location: District 109 Board Meeting Venue, Caruso Middle School, 1801 Montgomery Rd, Deerfield
We encourage attendees to wear blue, symbolizing our stand against this child abuse.
During the meeting, on your behalf, I plan to present a copy of a letter that I previously emailed to the Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Mike Simeck, and each member of the school board. My letter, as the State Director of Illinois, supports the families and advocates for the students’ privacy and safety.
Action Steps:
- Whether you live in the Deerfield area or not, contact each member of the Deerfield Public Schools District 109 Board of Education and respectfully express your concerns. See the contact information below my signature.
- If you live in the area, make plans now to attend the next school board meeting. Your presence amplifies our collective voice. Again, wear blue to signify our stance against the abuse of these children.
Please Pray: Join us in praying for all involved, seeking guidance and resolution that honors the dignity and privacy of every student.
Thank you for your steadfast support. Together, with the Lord’s help, we will make a difference for His Kingdom.
