The Mandate

Greetings CWA friends,

As the newly appointed state director for Concerned Women for America of Louisiana, I am humbled and count it a privilege to serve the people of the Bayou State.

THE MANDATE TO SERVE

My mandate to serve the people of Louisiana has a dual/twin purpose, that is, to teach Kingdom to government and teach government to Kingdom. One “twin” reminds the Kingdom that the purpose of government is to punish and reward (Romans 13:3-4); while the other “twin” commands us to pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

THE METHOD OF SPEAKING

We are to speak the truth in love and be motivated by love. As believers in Jesus Christ, we have authority to speak life and speak the truth in love and to love in truth and deed. When we do this, lives are changed and righteousness is restored to the nation.

“… that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love …” Ephesians 4:14,15a

THE PRAYER THAT CHANGES THINGS

To effectively help lead Louisiana to a higher moral ground, we must be willing to first pray then act!

May this be our prayer: “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

THE CALL IS UPON EACH ONE OF US

Sitting on the sidelines and cursing the darkness is futile. Light a candle. Better yet, be that candle! It’s time for the REAL believers to suit up and show up.

Act on the truth you know.

“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,’ but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2:14-17

Consider putting your faith to work through the ministry of Concerned Women for America of Louisiana. Contact me today to find out how!
