Many Louisianans were very pleased to hear President Trump nominated Kyle Duncan to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He’s exceptionally well qualified and accomplished and has a distinguished legal career including four years as Solicitor General for the state of Louisiana and arguing over 30 cases before federal and state appellate courts – as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.
But U.S. Sen. John Kennedy (R-Louisiana) is opposing Duncan. The rest of Louisiana supports Kyle Duncan, including U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-Louisiana) and GOP Attorney General Jeff Landry.
