Sen. Collins Deserves Better!

Our Senator, Susan Collins (R-Maine), and her staff have been under attack from the far left regarding the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.  My op-ed regarding this issue was published in the Kennebec Journal recently, Senator Collins Deserves Better.

Since that time, the accusation of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh has been the left’s latest last-ditch effort to delay and ultimately destroy the candidate’s chances for confirmation.

Both Sens. Collins and King (D-Maine) need to hear from you again.  The other side has made their message clear. It is imperative that our Senators know where we stand.

We would never want to overlook, diminish, or accept the abuse of women in any form. Yet, the evidence before us suggests this accusation just does not fit with the well-attested character of this man.

During his 25 years of public service, Judge Kavanaugh has been vetted by the FBI six times and never has a red flag been raised. Sen. Feinstein (D-California) kept this information to herself from late July until just now. The timing is not coincidental.

Unlike Sen. King (D-Maine), Sen. Collins voted to confirm President Trump’s last nominee, Judge Gorsuch.  Our hope is that she will vote for Judge Kavanaugh.

Please Take Action:

  • Call and email both your senators, even if you contacted them recently. With this new development, it is important for them to know that you still support Judge Kavanaugh.  Be sure to let them know that you are a member of Concerned Women for America of Maine. Sen. Collins’ contact information is here and Sen. King’s is here.
  • Send this e-alert to friends and family and encourage them to both pray and take action on Judge Kavanaugh’s behalf.

Please Pray: Redouble your efforts in prayer for truth and justice in this matter.  Pray with me, “Father, we pray You will protect Judge Brett Kavanaugh and his family with Your presence in a strong and recognizable way during these days of extreme pressure.  We ask for truth to prevail and for the ultimate confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States.  In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.”

“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O, Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:14).

For more information and help with calling or writing to your senators, please visit Concerned Women for America’s Women for Kavanaugh web page.

Unless there is more to this charge, we simply should not — cannot — abandon Judge Kavanaugh at this important hour.  You are called for such a time as this.  Thank you!
