The 2025 North Dakota Legislative Session continues to move quickly. Please take action today!
Last Wednesday, Concerned Women for America of North Dakota provided testimony in support of SB 2400, which provides parents with more choices in their children’s education through educational savings accounts (ESA). The accounts, which use a small portion of state funding already allocated for students, allow parents the opportunity to purchase vetted educational services to tailor a learning experience that meets their child’s educational needs.
ESAs, which range between $1,000 and $4,000 per student for all eligible students across the state, let the parent use the account to purchase materials or services such as private tutoring, online learning programs, private school tuition, online learning programs, curriculum for homeschooling, and other educational materials.
For those who say ESAs destroy public schools, they do not. Parents who feel their public school is working need not change. They need not apply to receive the money and can continue as they are. SB 2400 puts the choice in the hands of the person most interested in the child’s success: the parent.
SB 2400 may come up for a vote very soon, so please contact the legislators on the Senate Education Committee this weekend or Monday morning at the latest.
Take Action: Ask those on the Senate Education Committee to vote a “Do Pass” on SB 2400
