As the anniversary of the passage of Title IX is being celebrated this month, we look back with gratitude for the North Dakota laws passed in 2023 to ensure that women’s sports are for female athletes only. We celebrate that within President Trump’s first 100 days, he declared that there are only two genders. CWA’s April 29 press release stated:
“President Trump has set a new standard for leadership, fulfilling his pledge to the American people with unmatched speed and resolve,” said Penny Young Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America. “His unwavering commitment to our values, especially in defending women’s dignity and safety, has made these first 100 days a resounding victory for families and faith … From keeping men out of women’s sports to recognizing only two genders, President Trump has honored his promises to CWA and the American people.”
To celebrate, I wrote a letter to the editor, “We Must Protect Female Athletes,” which was in the Fargo Forum on June 23.
Now is the time for Congress to act to protect female athletes in every state!
Take Action: Contact your federal legislators and ask them to support legislation that protects female athletes based on the biological truth of being male or female. Find your U.S. senators here and your U.S. representative here. When contacting them, be sure to let them know that you are a member of Concerned Women for America of North Dakota.
