CONCERNED WOMEN FOR AMERICA OF WASHINGTON

ACTION ALERT JULY 29, 2014

Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.  James 2:17

Dear CWA of Washington Members,

CWA’s goal is to protect the family through prayer and action. The mission of CWA is to protect and promote Biblical values among all citizens-first through prayer, then education, and finally by influencing our society-thereby reversing the decline in moral values in our nation.

With that goal and mission in mind, I would ask what you as a citizen and CWA member are willing to do to fulfill those statements. We need more women and like-minded men to step up and organize Prayer/Action Chapters and Home Teams around Washington State in order to meet the increasing need for spiritual revival and defense of our families, our faith and our freedom. Please consider contacting me via e-mail or regular mail if you can help.

UPCOMING EVENTS

We are in the process of planning our next regional meeting on Saturday, September 13, in Moses Lake. If you live in the Moses Lake area, please mark that date down on your calendar and watch for the invitation, then invite others and bring a carload to hear our two speakers, Pastor Shahram Hadian and Research Mom Sharon Hanek address Defending Religious Liberties. For $30, you will have a delicious lunch as well as hear these outstanding speakers and receive CWA materials to help you engage your church, your family and your friends as we stand for God’s Word and principles in a culture turning away from its remarkable foundation. Consider bringing your pastor or another church leader to the meeting or sending a friend in the Ellensburg-Moses Lake-Spokane area. If you are unable to attend, please pray that this meeting will be a success and serve to rally people to stand with CWA in defense of our Christian faith, our families and our freedoms.

It is urgent that we encourage our pastors and other church members to pay attention to and get involved in public policy. When asked why people including pastors should get involved in public policy, a Texas pastor responded with three questions:

  • Do you believe God cares about the rampant immorality that is sweeping our country?
  • Do you believe God has any feeling about His name being outlawed from mention in the public square?
  • Do you think God has any concern about the 50+ million children that have been murdered in the womb since 1973 by way of Roe v. Wade?

If you answer “Yes” to those questions, you have just answered why pastors and other Christians must be involved in public policy which is controlled by politics! Please pray about your involvement. Ask God what He wants you to do. Then take some action and stand in the gap for Him!

May God give us boldness to speak His Word (Acts 4:29) amidst “many adversaries” (1 Corinthians 16:9). Visit CWA’s national website to witness how boldly Concerned Women for America is standing:  www.cwfa.org
