Dear CWA of Washington Member,

New Year’s greetings from the Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Washington office!  We hope you celebrated the Christmas season and enjoyed all that reminds us of God’s special gift of Christ Jesus, our Savior.

In this new year, we hope and pray you will stay committed to your Biblical principles and stand alongside CWA of Washington in our goals to protect families, religious liberty, parental rights in our children’s education and welfare, the sanctity of all human life, U.S. sovereignty, and the support for Israel—all through prayer, education, and action!

Encourage-A-Legislator (EAL)!  God’s people must continue to pray for all those in authority. In I Timothy 2:1-3, Paul exhorted Timothy, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” One way to obey Paul’s exhortation is to join our EAL campaign to pray for all 147 Washington State legislators. The 2018 session began on January 8, and we so need to cover all the senators and representatives with our prayers.  Please contact the state office by emailing us, calling 425-869-1923, or taking a minute to mail the form.

March For Life!  Join pro-life individuals from the state on Monday, January 22, in Olympia.  The event begins at noon by gathering on the Capitol’s front steps.  Enjoy listening to wonderful March for Life speakers as well as legislators.  Click here for more information.  Plan to visit your legislators to let them know you came for the march and that you want them to support the sanctity of human life in 2018.  If you can, make an appointment so that you have time to interact with either your legislators or their legislative aides.

Tracking, acting, and praying on state legislation. Now that the state legislative session has begun, CWA will be watching for bills related to our seven core issues.  We will notify you of the bills we choose, and we will encourage you to contact your legislators in order to participate in our democratic Republic by sharing your opinions and insights on our issues.  Watch for our alerts in the coming weeks, and please share them with other concerned citizens who need to become involved in our democratic process.  We are so fortunate to have this opportunity. Let’s not squander the privilege and responsibility by ignoring our civic duty.  Please pray, educate yourself, and then follow up with appropriate action in a letter, phone call, e-mail, and/or visit to your state representatives and senator.

Please renew your CWA membership so we can continue sending alerts, continue the EAL program, and we can continue representing your values in Washington.  Please renew your membership by filling out and sending in our membership form.  Be sure to write your check out to “Concerned Women for America” and put “CWA of WA” on the memo line.  Or, click here to give online.
