Hungry attendees turned out in frigid weather to support CWA of Illinois’ Applebees “Short Stacks for a Tall Cause” Fundraiser, on Saturday, February 21, 2015, in Freeport. CWA of Illinois members and their families manned tables and assisted in the kitchen to serve what seemed like an unlimited supply of pancakes and bacon. “We are grateful that Applebees supports non-profits like Concerned Women for America. There’s nothing like serving up short stacks to get the word out about CWA,” says Cindy Witt, coordinator for the event. Profits from the event benefit CWA of Illinois programs and initiatives.
