We give thanks to You, O God, with our whole heart;
We will glorify Your name forever,
For great is Your steadfast love and grace towards us;
You have delivered us from evil countless times.
Incline Your ear to us, again; answer our prayer.
We are poor and needy, totally dependent on You.
Be gracious to Your people, and help us
To be the salt and light You have called us to be.
Break through the division, resentment, and anger
That abound in our land, Lord.
Let Your people all over the world lead the way
To peace, and truth, and love.
Gladden our souls, Master;
May Your wondrous works be shown among us.
In the day of our trouble, clarity comes in a flash,
And we can see You are our only hope.
There is none like You,
None who can perform the works that You do.
Teach us Your ways, and correct us
In Your eternal wisdom.
Father, unite our hearts in Your truth.
Let all the nations hear Your wisdom proclaimed.
Comfort the suffering in every corner of the earth,
And give us Your favor.
We pray for our leaders:
Our president, legislators, the courts,
And the church leadership — those whom You have chosen.
Give them Your protection, wisdom, and strength.
May that peace which passes all understanding
Guard their hearts and minds from all enemy attacks.
Give them a desire to serve selflessly,
And grant them to be a force for good.
In Jesus’ mighty Name we pray,
Amen.
