Capitol Hill Brief — Israel and the Promised Land

In 2013, I made my first visit to Israel where I was forever changed.  I dare say no one can walk into Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust museum, and not be marked forever.  Even more than the Holocaust museum in Washington, it is a reminder of our responsibility in world affairs.

It is also a reminder for us as Christians.  We must remember that the Old Testament serves as the Israelis’ deed to their home, the Promised Land.  This is not a popular opinion these days.  But as believers, we must ask, “do we really believe what we read in Scriptures?”
