Biden White House Celebrates “Trans Day of Visibility” on Easter

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Last weekend, Christians all over the world joined together to celebrate one of our holiest observed days – Easter. The day marks the singular event that distinguishes Christianity from any other religion. It is the observed day that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, rose from the grave, conquering death for all those who believe in Him.

The only way that we sinners can join a Holy God in relationship is through the death and resurrection of Jesus – the perfect and blameless sacrifice. In God’s profound kindness and love, He sent Jesus to be the final sacrifice on our behalf, but not only did He need to die for our sins, He needed to defeat death, because death is the ultimate consequence of our sin. (Romans 6:23)

Christianity is different from any other religion. It’s relational with a living God. Christianity is about a loving God who seeks out man, not about man trying to make his way to God.

Christ’s resurrection that is celebrated on Easter is the core of Christianity; therefore, it is worthy of all reverence and celebration. However, President Joe Biden, who calls himself a Catholic, deemed it important to celebrate “Trans Day of Visibility” on one of Christian’s holiest holidays. When addressing the day on social media, he said, “Today, on Transgender Day of Visibility, I have a simple message to all trans Americans: I see you. You are made in the image of God, and you’re worthy of respect and dignity.” The irony is almost too rich, if he would have utilized the entirety of the verse he referenced, he should have mentioned the ending of Genesis 1:27 which reads, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” The President used Scripture to affirm what is incompatible with Scripture.

Some tried to do damage control by saying that March 31 has long been the celebrated “Trans Day of Visibility,” but that is precisely it, the President knew the two days would collide this year and still found it a priority to elevate a godless ideology to the level of importance as Easter.

The entire debacle created a lively back and forth between President Biden and Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson. Speaker Johnson rightfully called it outrageous that Easter Sunday was recognized as Transgender Day of Visibility during a news hit over the weekend. Journalists quickly prodded the President to provide a response to which he said, “He’s thoroughly uninformed… I didn’t do that.” This is not unusual; the President often denies what we can see with our own eyes. There is no crisis at the border, the economy is fine, he is really pro-life.

The Speaker simply responded on social media with a picture of the White House’s official proclamation that reads, “Now, Therefore, I, Joseph R. Biden Jr., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility…” Still, the president knows the media will run cover for him.

But reality cannot be changed. Truth is truth. And the truth is the President and his team decided it was better to, not only desecrate a holy holiday, but to intentionally offend millions of Christians across the United States in order to pander to his most radical political base. He would rather elevate the ideology that celebrates the destruction and mutilation of the human body than revere the God of the universe who sacrificed His body to save us from everlasting torment.
