Paxton, upholding Texas’s House Bill 1181. This landmark ruling affirms Texas’s authority to require age verification for websites containing material harmful to minors, ensuring that children are protected from obscene content while preserving the state’s commitment to safeguarding young citizens from harmful influences.
The Court’s decision clarifies that states may enact reasonable measures, such as age verification, to prevent minors from accessing sexually explicit material online, addressing a critical public health concern.
