Statewide Reading of President Trump’s Proclamation

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
– Psalms 27:1

On May 17, 2026, a major national prayer event titled the “National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving” is scheduled to take place on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

Announced by President Trump, this gathering is intended to “rededicate America as one nation under God” as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration.

In light of this significant moment, I recently sent a letter to Louisiana government officials asking them to please consider reviewing and reading President Donald Trump’s formal proclamation, Year of Celebration and Redirection, 2026. I suggested and requested, on behalf of Concerned Women for America of Louisiana, that this proclamation be read at a public meeting, event, or gathering on or around May 17, 2026.

Given the historical significance of this milestone year, it is important for leaders at all levels of government to consider the contents and implications of this proclamation.

Take Action:

Pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You asking for courage and boldness for those leaders entrusted with making decisions at the local, parish, and state levels. Give them the strength to stand for what is right, even when it may be uncomfortable, difficult, or unpopular.

You are sovereign over all things. Thank You for Your peace and guidance on each and every leader today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
