HB Bill 217 moves to the Senate. Please ACT NOW!
In a major setback for children’s mental health, parental rights and religious liberty, the Conversion Therapy Prohibition Act, HB 217, passed the Illinois House with a 68 to 43 vote and moves to the Illinois Senate. This bill will ban reparative therapy for children who suffer from unwanted same-sex attraction disorder. If passed in the Senate, this bill will become law!

“Not one lawmaker defended children and free speech from the tyranny of Leftists who demand we act, speak and think according to the dictates of their beliefs. Not one lawmaker reminded their colleagues that by diminishing the right to live out our faith, they are establishing the religion of secularism which the First Amendment decisively prohibits.”
The Lord commanded us to defend the rights and liberty of children: “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Matthew 18:6.
Christians will not be excused from their indifference or inaction.
Prayer Requests:
- Pray that there will be a public stand against HB 217 by clergy, family counselors.
- Pray for the fear of the Lord to come upon all Illinois State Senators and that HB 217 will die in Executive Committee.
Action Items:
- Contact your state senator. Urge him/her to oppose HB 217. If needed, click here to find out who your senator is and how to contact him/her.
- Contact your pastors, any Traditional Family Value counselors you know, as well as your family and friends. Urge them to stand against HB 217.
