June 5, 2018, is California’s primary election, when your voice is heard. Your vote will make a difference with who is elected to make, or interpret laws for our state. Your vote is your voice!
In 2014 4 million Californians voted for and elected Gov. Jerry Brown. There are 15.8 million proclaimed Christians in California. Imagine the resounding voice of millions making a difference in this year’s primary election.
Years ago, Mrs Beverly LaHaye, CWA Founder, authored a publication, What’s Your Vote Worth. Her words are true today: “We must have people in elected office who honor the proper role of government, respect sanctity of life and marriage, and have the character to do what is right”.
The judicial races are non-partisan, so we must pay attention to the judges we elect. A good judge will show restraint, letting the legislators write and pass the laws. We must elect judges who uphold the constitution, not see it as a “living breathing” document. A good judge will interpret the law, not make laws.
Your vote could be the one that makes a difference for future generations to be free to live out our faith and order our society according to the laws of Nature’s God (as stated in the Declaration of Independence).
Thank God we live in a country in which we choose our leaders.
PRAY: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
