“This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” – Deuteronomy 30:19

A pro-abortion ballot measure has been filed in the Virginia General Assembly that could enshrine the right to unrestricted late-term abortion on demand in the Virginia Constitution. House Resolution HJ1 and Senate Resolution SJ1 propose women should have the fundamental right to make ANY decision regarding their pregnancy without any burden or infringement by the Commonwealth. The resolutions are deceptive in their language by using the term “reproductive freedom,” which is code for abortion. The amendment language reads as follows:

“Every individual has the fundamental right to reproductive freedom. This right to make and effectuate one’s own decisions about all matters related to one’s pregnancy shall not be denied, burdened, or infringed upon, unless justified by a compelling state interest and achieved by the least restrictive means that do not infringe an individual’s autonomous decision-making.”

The resolutions must pass the state legislature in the next two consecutive sessions. If the measure passes, it will be placed on the 2026 ballot for Virginia voters to decide.

Fast action is needed. Please contact your State Senate and Delegate TODAY using our Action Center and urge them to oppose the anti-woman, anti-mother, and anti-child resolutions.

Be sure to contact your Delegate and Senator! Forward this email to family and friends.

Join us in prayer: Father God, we know that the shedding of innocent blood is an abomination to You. We ask for Your forgiveness, as a nation, as a state, for the sin of abortion. We pray earnestly for our Virginia General Assembly. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ that there would be godly reason and courage among our legislators and that every bill or amendment introduced to further the killing of innocent babies would be defeated. We pray in the name of Jesus that protection of all innocent human life from conception until natural death would become the law of our state and our nation. In the precious name of our Lord and Savior, we pray, amen.

For Life!
