The CWA of North Carolina Flapjack Fundraiser held at Applebee’s Restaurant in Pineville on the last weekend of October, 2015, was very successful. We hope to have a similar event every year. It was wonderful to see old and new friends of CWA of North Carolina, along with our pro-family-values coalition partners, all expressing thanks and support for our mission to influence public policy with Biblical and Judeo-Christian values, through prayer, education, action and our votes.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast; we were blessed by the Applebee’s management and staff who were very pleasant and more than accommodating to help our nonprofit organization have a successful fundraiser. Applebee’s slogan is “A Neighborhood Grill,” and encourages organizations such as ours, who are impacting the community, to take advantage of the fundraising opportunities offered through Applebee’s.
We had an incredible team of volunteers including steering committee members, husbands, and friends, who met our guests early in the morning with their smiles and service to our guests from 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Leading up to the event, the CWA of North Carolina leadership team worked hard to sell tickets. We are sincerely grateful to God for His provisions and the generous donations and contributions given to CWA of North Carolina to make it a very successful and worthwhile event.
