Concerned Women for America of Virginia (CWA) State Director, Janet Robey, spent a few days in our nation’s capital along with dozens of other CWA leaders from across the nation.
On Tuesday evening, January 21, CWA hosted the “35 Years of Defending Life” celebratory dinner with keynote speaker former-Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pennsylvania).
Despite the extreme weather in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, January 22, teams of volunteers walked Capitol Hill to garner support in the Senate for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act that aims to ban abortion after 20 weeks. Young Women for America leaders were present as well and split their day between lobbying and marching in the March for Life.
Even though the main stream media ignores the converging of hundreds of thousands of participants, there was a strong showing in spite of the frigid weather.
Janet met with aides in both Sen. Warner and Sen. Kaine’s offices. Please call Sen. Mark Warner at (202) 224-2013 and Sen. Tim Kaine at (202) 224-4024 and ask them to support S. 1670 “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act“ because after 20 weeks, the unborn child reacts to stimuli that would be recognized as pain if applied to an adult human. For example, the baby recoils from the stimuli.
