Second Annual Respect Life Day at the State Capitol

By February 19, 2015Maine

CWA of Maine Encourages you to attend the Second Annual Respect Life Day at the State Capitol:

February 26, 2015
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Hall of Flags (2nd Floor), State House, Augusta, Maine

Concerned Women for America of Maine’s (CWA of Maine) good friend, Dennis Keller of State Farm Insurance in Augusta is sponsoring refreshments and coffee for the second year in a row for this wonderful educational day at Maine’s Capitol. Come and enjoy this event along with legislators and their staffs and others visiting the Capitol that day to explore exhibitor organizations from across the state and learn about Maine’s respect life movement. Our CWA of Maine booth will be right next to the refreshments table and we look forward to seeing you.

This is NOT a rally, protest or march. It is an educational and informational event sponsored by Maine Right to Life, providing a wonderful opportunity to speak with pro-life leaders and learn how to be an advocate for the most vulnerable among us at all stages of life.

It is also an excellent time to meet your senator and representative and share your respect for life position, and learn their perspective on the issue. You might want to contact them ahead of time to schedule an appointment on that day. For legislator contact information click here: Legislators This day also provides an excellent time to request support for L.D. #83, An Act to Strengthen the Consent Laws for Abortions Performed on Minors. Sen. Paul Davis (R-Sangerville) is the sponsor of the bill.

Families, students, singles, and seniors are welcome to attend this family-friendly educational respect life day as we meet pro-life colleagues working in respect life organizations from Kittery to Presque Isle. See you then!
