Protect North Carolina Kids from Inappropriate and Graphic Sex Education

Dear Friends,

What is Going on in North Carolina Schools!

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is allocating almost $400,000 from Title V federal grant taxpayer money intended for “abstinence” education and instead, funding SHIFT (Sexual Health Initiative for Teens) North Carolina’s LGBTQ campaign! These tax dollars will be used to train teachers and promote LGBTQ guides targeting older teens on social media to push their Teen Playbook website, which provides “guide to safer, sexier choices,” including the graphic teaching on how to use condoms.Click here to view The Playbook. No surprise, the North Carolina SHIFT initiative is endorsed by Planned Parenthood, NARAL, ACLU and others.

Are we going to stand any longer for this nonsense?! I hope your answer is a resounding NO!

Take Action: Email the members of the North Carolina School Board of Education and tell them that the SHIFT sex ed initiative should not be taught in our schools. And, be sure to let them know that you are a member of Concerned Women for America of North Carolina.

Please Pray: Pray for each Board member as you email them one by one.

Monday, April 23 – Sex Ed Sit Out

It is time for us to send a clear message to our school boards, school administrations, and city councils; we have such an opportunity in Charlotte. Parents across the nation are planning to remove their children from public schools in protest of this “pornographic” sex ed curriculum in the “Sex Ed Sit Out.”  In addition, in Charlotte, a protest event is scheduled for next Monday of which CWA of North Carolina is a co-sponsor.

Date: Monday, April 23
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Location: Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E. Fourth Street

I encourage you to go to the Sex Ed Sit Out website for more information about “gender-bending” and “pornographic” sex ed resources, the use of tax dollars being spent to fund such curricula, the sexualization of children, and more.

Take Action:

  1. View, print out, and complete the letter to your child’s principal about why you are holding them out of school.
  2. We need parents and/or grandparents of CMS students who will speak up to five minutes to make a strong statement to Charlotte Mecklenburg School board, administrators, and city council. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are willing to speak Monday evening.

Please Pray.  Pray many would attend this event and that the school would back off from this harmful form of “education.”
