“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Unfortunately, too many parents find out what is exactly being taught to their children when they sit down to help with homework or flip through a textbook.  HB1332, the Curriculum Transparency Bill, sponsored by Rep. Andrew Lewis (R -District 105), addresses this problem and empowers parents by putting them back in the driver’s seat when it comes to their children’s education.

HB1332 would require public school districts, charter schools, career and technology centers, and intermediate units to post their curriculum plans, including textbooks, online for parental review before the school year begins. This type of information will keep parents in the loop while ensuring what is being taught in our schools falls in line with the values of the parents.

HB1332 recently passed the Pennsylvania House Education Committee and will be brought to the floor soon for full consideration.  Your immediate attention and action are needed.

Take action:

  1. Contact your state representative and urge him or her to support HB 1332.  Use this link to find out who is your state representative.
  2. If you are a member of Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Pennsylvania, be sure to let them know.
  3. Please forward this on to family and friends!

Please pray:  Father, we are concerned about the future of our children. We ask that you give wisdom to our leaders as they defend the rights of parents in Pennsylvania. Give them the courage they need to boldly stand for the issues that are impacting our children. Continue to shine your light to expose every evil work of darkness that would seek to prevail.  In the wonderful name of Jesus. Amen
