And just like that, on October 22, six radical pro-abortion bills passed the Pennsylvania House Judiciary Committee and will now move to the full House for further consideration.
Gov. Josh Shapiro and the Democrat-led Pennsylvania House of Representatives are fulfilling their commitment to make our Commonwealth one of the most progressive states in the nation for so-called women’s reproductive rights. The provisions in these bills are evil, plain and simple.
We must do everything we can to put a stop to the murder of the unborn. If the Christians in Pennsylvania do not stand up for the unborn in our Commonwealth, who will?
House Bills Expanding Abortion “Rights”
- HB670 – Expands the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, opening the door to prosecute individuals who peacefully minister outside abortion facilities. This could include sidewalk counselors, mobile ultrasound units, and even pregnancy centers. As a reminder, the FACE Act has already been weaponized by the Biden administration to target pro-life advocates outside abortion clinics.
- HB2005 – Removes vital protections for women by eliminating existing limitations on abortions, such as medical consultation, the 24-hour waiting period, and informed consent.
- HB1640, HB1641, and HB1643 would provide legal shields for abortionists and stop victims from seeking justice. HB1641 and HB1643 specifically would create protections for traffickers who transport minors across state lines for abortion.
- HB1957 – Amends the Constitution of Pennsylvania to ensure abortion as a fundamental right, permitting abortion up to the point of birth, eliminating the requirement for parental consent, and providing taxpayer funding for abortion.
