Now is the Time to Speak Up, Not Later

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Rumored Democrat presidential candidate hopeful California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed S.B. 132, the Transgender Respect, Agency and Dignity Act, in 2021. The law officially allowed incarcerated men an opportunity to join the women’s prison if they self-identify as women (or other “gender identities,” such as “genderfluid”). Concerned Women for America (CWA) of California, led by our outstanding State Director Marlo Tucker, fought against the bill.

But, despite our best efforts, Newsom won. Women lost. Reports show that close to 400 males have applied for the benefit of moving to the women’s prison. You won’t be surprised that one-third of those are registered sex offenders.

CWA has joined the feminists at the Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) to sue California for its reckless endangerment of women. Penny Nance, CWA’s CEO and President, said of it, “CWA fought against California’s S.B. 132 before it was passed, and we are proud to stand with WoLF to fight it today. It is a cruel, anti-woman law that places vulnerable women in danger and blatantly violates our constitutional rights. Our immutable status and inherent dignity as women must be protected, not compromised.  Every woman, regardless of political affiliation, must stand against it.”

We will never stop fighting against this law and for the dignity of women. But today, I write to remind you that the time to speak up on these types of injustices, especially as they relate to radical leaders like Gov. Newsom, is now. Even before the law formalizing this practice was passed, Gov. Newsom had implemented the policy in every way he could as the state’s chief executive. One man sentenced to death in connection with the brutal murder of his daughter and son in 2013 started claiming he was a woman in 2019 and was transferred within a year under Newsom’s leadership. Believe it or not, the man is now allegedly awaiting breast implants in the women’s prison at the taxpayers’ expense.

Newsom encourages it all right alongside all sorts of pro-transgenderism policies. Last year, he signed S.B. 108, which sought to incentivize children struggling with gender dysphoria to come to California if they want to use radical, life-altering drugs and surgeries behind their parents’ backs. This is the track record he is purportedly floating about to become our next president. And most people have no idea!

He is, of course, lavishly praised and protected by the media. But we must let others know about the evil behind the façade of slick leaders like Newsom. The time is now, not when he officially becomes a presidential nominee.

Pray against the darkness and suffering that comes from such leadership, and tell others about it. “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)
