North Carolina Responds to Americans Left Out Of the Iran Deal

American Pastor Saeed Abedini and other Americans wrongfully imprisoned in Iran have been abandoned by the Obama Administration.

The American prisoners — who should have been part of the negotiation process — have been left out of the final deal with Iran.

We are outraged that the President has left Americans behind in order to gain a deal with a country that is a state sponsor of terrorism and violator of human rights.

Saaed Abedini is an American citizen. This proud husband, devoted father, and man of faith has spent 1,000 days — almost three years — languishing in one of Iran’s most brutal prisons for the “crime” of being a Christian.

Yet as Believers we carry the hope of Christ “we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing, persecuted, but not forsaken, struck down, but not destroyed … so that the life of Christ may be manifested in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

Leaving the Americans behind is only part of what makes this deal with Iran a bad deal. Read CWA’s July 17 press release: CWALAC Calls for Congress to Pass a Resolution of Disapproval on the Iran Deal

What now?

Although the Obama Administration has abandoned our brother, WE WILL NOT.

CWA is committed to working for his immediate release — as well as the three other innocent American hostages being held in Iranian prisons.

Contextually, this “deal” is bad for America and bad for Israel.

Take Action: Contact our two senators and your representative. Ask them to support the Resolution of Disapproval. Click here if you don’t know who your representative is. If time allows, contact all the North Carolina representatives.

PRAY! Please pray that Pastor Saeed and the three American hostages will have the grace and strength to endure this trial as others are brought to Christ through their sufferings. Pray that God will intervene through Congress to release these four Americans from Iranian prisons and return them home to America.

Your faithful prayers and support are greatly appreciated, as together we make a difference to support Israel, as well as traditional marriage, pro-life, and religious liberty legislation in our great state and nation.
