New HHS Rule, a Desperate Move by the Obama Administration

CWALAC_MediaStatementWashington, D.C. – The Obama Administration finalized a new pro-abortion rule from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that may prevent states from blocking Title X funding to abortion companies like Planned Parenthood.

Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America (CWA) had this to say:

It is almost embarrassing to watch a president who came into office with so much promise reduced to such petty political actions in the final hours of his presidency.  This is clearly a desperate move by the Obama Administration to appease its political ally, Planned Parenthood, after the overwhelming rejection they received from the American people in the last election.

We are confident that President-elect Trump, along with the next HHS secretary, Tom Price, will follow through on their promise to shift all taxpayer money from Planned Parenthood, an organization that is still under federal investigation because of their illegal selling of baby body parts, to the thousands of Federally Qualified Health Centers and Rural Health Centers available throughout the country.

Repealing this rule should be a top priority from the very second President-elect Trump takes his oath.
