Merry Christmas, and Thank You from CWA of Texas! + Year-in-Review

By December 20, 2024Texas

Dear Friends,

What a year! Hope is in the air as we look back at all we have accomplished this year and consider the possibilities ahead. We want to say a big THANK YOU for your friendship and support.

We praise God for each and every one of you!

The Christmas season, with its focus on the birth of Jesus Christ, is at the center of this hope. The Savior was born, died for our sins, rose from the grave, and reigns on high!

The words of 1 Peter 1:3 come to mind, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

It is that hope that keeps us energized, even in the midst of what others think is impossible. That is how we approached this election year, and we saw God move in miraculous ways.

But we couldn’t engage the way that we do without your help. YOU have gifted us with your time, talent, and/or treasure, and we are beyond grateful.

Let me list just a few of the things we were able to accomplish this year, thanks to you!

  • Played a part in CWA national’s She Prays She Votes (SPSV) Campaign by setting up an event in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as part of the cross-country pink bus tour with Penny Nance. In addition, we brought in several state and local pro-family leaders to speak on several issues including the protection of our women and children in our schools and athletics.
  • Conducted numerous Get-Out-the-Vote events to encourage citizens across the state to diligently pray and vote during all local, state, and national elections.
  • Raised awareness of the gripping reality of the horror of human trafficking, the danger to children of pornography, and our responsibility to stand by Israel by hosting speakers at chapter events.
  • Co-hosted prayer rallies on college campuses with CWA’s Young Women for America to pray for Israel along with students and local pastors.
  • Hosted local legislative representatives to educate our members on the current issues facing our state and processes by which we can make our voices heard during our upcoming Legislative Session.
  • Held several training events for our leaders.
  • Our CWA of Texas Director Emerita/Advisor, Ann Hettinger, received Texas Values’ well-deserved Lifetime Achievement award for her excellent policy work over the last several decades, applying a Biblical perspective in protecting women and children in Texas.

2025, Here We Come!

We are believing in a God-sized vision for CWA of Texas’ engagement for next year. Now is not the time to let up. We need to commit to prayer and action now more than ever. We have a great opportunity to exert generational transformation in the name of our Lord in the next year that will benefit our children and grandchildren. So, we will need your help! Please pray about what you can do and make yourself available to the Lord.

Please prayerfully consider making a final year-end, tax-deductible gift of $100, $50, $25, or other to continue the work here in Texas. It will make a huge difference for our state! Send a check to the address below or contribute online.

And remember, let’s keep our eyes on that Blessed Hope; we will stand triumphant in His glory alone.

In His Service,

Jana Long, State Director
