Dear Friends,
What a year! Hope is in the air as we look back at all we have accomplished this year and consider the possibilities ahead. We want to say a big THANK YOU for your friendship and support.
We praise God for each and every one of you!
The Christmas season, with its focus on the birth of Jesus Christ, is at the center of this hope. The Savior was born, died for our sins, rose from the grave, and reigns on high!
The words of 1 Peter 1:3 come to mind, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
It is that hope that keeps us energized, even in the midst of what others think is impossible. That is how we approached this election year, and we saw God move in miraculous ways.
But we couldn’t engage the way that we do without your help. YOU have gifted us with your time, talent, and/or treasure, and we are beyond grateful.
Let me list just a few of the things we were able to accomplish this year, thanks to you!
- Participated in multiple pro-life events throughout the year, including the Battle for Pro-Life Advocacy conference with Dr. David Tamisiea, Executive Director of the North Dakota Catholic Conferences.
- Raised awareness regarding the state life.nd.gov website listing local, state, and federal resources already available for expectant moms and families by hosting educational booths at two state-wide conferences.
- Advocated and received the signature of two North Dakota candidates, Congressional Candidate Julie Fedorchak and Gubernatorial Candidate Kelly Armstrong (R-North Dakota At-large District), for the Concerned Women for America’s Promise to American Women Pledge in which they agreed, if elected, to stand up for the dignity of every woman and reinforce the undeniable definition of “woman.”
- Delivered a coalition letter to U.S. Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-North Dakota) and Sen. John Hoeven (R-North Dakota) regarding an objection to an amendment to the Military Selective Service Act under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which could require young women to register with Selective Service for a possible future draft.
- Published multiple letters-to-the-editor, opinion editorials, and press releases advocating for unborn children and their families, educating voters regarding the cannabis measure, and encouraging voters to go to the polls to honor American heroes – the military men and women who have served our country.
- Activated our membership base via e-alerts to both pray and act on issues such as those listed on the previous page, and more.
2025, Here We Come!
We are believing in a God-sized vision for CWA of North Dakota’s engagement for next year. Now is not the time to let up. We need to commit to prayer and action now more than ever. We have a great opportunity to exert generational transformation in the name of our Lord in the next year that will benefit our children and grandchildren. So, we will need your help! Please pray about what you can do and make yourself available to the Lord.
Please prayerfully consider making a final year-end, tax-deductible gift of $50, $100, or more to continue the work here in North Dakota. It will make a huge difference for our state!
And remember, let’s keep our eyes on that Blessed Hope; we will stand triumphant in His glory alone.
In His Service,
Linda Thorson, State Director
