We are pleased to introduce to you the new State Director of Tennessee, Lavigne Kirkpatrick. Lavigne first engaged with Concerned Women for America (CWA) in 1996 when she was invited to a Prayer/Action Chapter in Winter Park, Florida. Lavigne spent many years in Florida working as a Registered Nurse and was appointed by two Governors and confirmed by the State Senate to serve on the Florida Board of Nursing for seven years. She has been actively involved in government, campaigns, elections, and policy advocacy for many years. Lavigne has an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Broward College, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Science and Public Policy, a Master’s Certificate in Florida City and County Management, all from Florida State University, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) Degree from the University of South Florida.
Since moving to Tennessee six years ago, Lavigne has managed two School Board candidate campaigns, and her county now has a conservative majority on the School Board. She also managed a state senator’s campaign and is currently assisting with his transition in Nashville. Lavigne has been leading the women’s monthly prayer group at her church, is a member of the Advisory Board for the Nursing program at Carson Newman University, is Chair of the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) Committee for the Greater Knoxville Area, is Vice Chair of the Jefferson County Republican Party, and is an Adjunct Instructor for Healthcare Management at the University of South Florida (online). Lavigne is married to Thad; they have five children and eight grandchildren.
Note from Lavigne:
“I love my country and have been so blessed by the Lord, Who never gives up on me. My love for God and country is more fulfilled than ever through the work of CWA. God has placed me in Tennessee ‘for such a Time as this.’ God provides us with the passion in our hearts and equips us with the spiritual gifts we need to serve in His glorious plan. If you find that you have a passion for our country and the Lord, join with us in prayer and advocacy for God’s will for your community, state, and nation.”
We are excited to see all that the Lord is going to do through Lavigne and the ministry of CWA of Tennessee. If you would like to join her on this journey, she can be reached at 239-595-0196 or via email at director@tennessee.cwfa.org. We would love to have you join the team!
