“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” -Mathew 18:6
Your voice is crucial to safeguard Virginia’s children!
Gov. Youngkin has added language from Sage’s Law HB2182 to a parental rights bill, HB1678, that is before him for signature.
Sage’s Law, HB2182, protected children by requiring schools to notify, get permission from, and actively involve parents when their child expresses sexual incongruence (defined as a difference between an individual’s biological sex and such individual’s perceived or desired gender).
Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Virginia strongly supported Sage’s Law because the legislation recognizes the potentially irreversible consequential nature of permitting schools and children to navigate this confusion without the parent’s knowledge, active oversight, and involvement.
The Democrat controlled committees refused to hear Sage’s Law while in session. Now is the time to put pressure on your legislators to support the inclusion of this critical language from Sage’s Law in the Parental Rights bill, HB1678.
HB1678 is expected to be voted on by the full Senate and House sometime next week.
Action is needed:
- Please call and/or email your state delegates and senators. Respfully urge them to support the addition of the critical Sage’s Law language to the Parental Rights bill, HB1678. Click here to find your state legislators and their contact information. Be sure to include that you are a member of Concerned Women for America of Virginia.
- Forward this alert to family and friends today and encourage them to pray and act this week.
Join us in prayer: Father God, it is not Your will for children to go the way of sexual confusion. Move on the hearts of legislators to pass a Parental Rights bill that includes Sage’s Law language in Virginia. And help parents to change school boards, policies, and curriculum, etc. accordingly, to create a more favorable environment for their children. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
