I am very excited to introduce to you Laura Huber, CWA’s new Louisiana State Director. Sancha Smith stepped down officially as CWA’s Louisiana State Director in March after 12 outstanding years of leadership. Laura joined CWA of Louisiana’s leadership team in 2019 serving as the state chapter’s Records Correspondence and co-leader of a Prayer/Action Chapter. We are extremely grateful that Laura is willing to step into the director role.

Laura was born and raised in North Canton, Ohio. She moved with her family to the suburbs of New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1978. Laura works alongside her husband of 31 years, Karl Huber, in their privately owned business, Graphics Advantage, LLC, a printing and promotional consulting business.

Laura is actively involved with Unashamed Love, an outreach ministry to women in the sex industry, dancers in strip clubs on Bourbon Street, and prostituted women in New Orleans. Laura is very passionate about the life issue and volunteers with Louisiana Right to Life. She and her husband, Karl, both serve on the Board of Directors at St. Tammany Right to Life.

Karl and Laura have three amazing and Godly adult children, one son and two daughters. They are blessed with four adorable and equally unique grandchildren. Their whole family is blessed to worship and serve together at Lakeshore Church in Covington, Louisiana.

Laura could not be more excited about representing CWA in the great state of Louisiana. Recently, in a conversation with Laura she said, “The confirmation from the Lord to step into the state director role couldn’t have been any clearer. There was such a peace with this step of obedience.” We at CWA national could not be more grateful for this woman who has a heart for the Lord, first and foremost.
