“Your ballot counts, because in voting, you’re accepting your part in the greatest decision-making body the world has ever known, the American electorate.”
— President Ronald Reagan, 1986
A shout-out to the Berean Prayer/Action Chapter in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, led by Kathy Kijak and Cathy Kuniewicz, for hosting a voter registration table at their church on Sunday! And a special thank-you to Pastor Jace Erb for welcoming the table and supporting the work of Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Pennsylvania.
And here’s something we should all think about: 32 million Christians who regularly attend church were estimated to be unlikely to vote.
That is 32 million voices potentially sitting on the sidelines.
And here is the encouraging part: The same study found that about one in six of those likely non-voters said they would be more likely to vote if their church taught that voting is a Biblical responsibility.
Let’s not sit on the sidelines.
Be informed, make a plan to vote, and share these important Pennsylvania election dates with your family, friends, and church community:
- October 19: Deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration information for the General Election.
- October 27: Deadline to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot for the General Election.
- November 3: GENERAL ELECTION
Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Completed mail-in and absentee ballots must be received by your county election office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Whether you are preparing to vote yourself or encouraging someone else to participate, you do not have to start from scratch. CWA and other organizations have resources to help you take the next step:
- She Prays She Votes CWA Resources
- Christian Votes — Register, check your registration, and find voter information.
- SHE PRAYS SHE VOTES Bus Stops — Find a BIG Pink Bus Stop.
- WriteNowAmerica.org — Encourage voting through letter writing.
- The Black Robe Regiment — Biblical citizenship resources.
- iVoterGuide — Candidate information and ratings.
Our voices matter. Our participation matters. And our vote is one way we have a voice in the direction of our communities, our Commonwealth, and our nation.
Let’s Pray: Father, thank You for the freedom and responsibility You have given us. Give us wisdom, courage, and discernment. Help us not to sit on the sidelines, but to do our part faithfully: be informed, vote, and pray for those who lead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
