Day 13 – An Easter Prayer

By April 12, 2020Blog, Covid-19

This Easter Lord,
In the middle of Covid-19,
We remember that by
Your wounds, we are healed.

Heal our Land, Father,
Heal us physically (take away this virus)
And heal us spiritually—
We repent of our sin.

For which You were pierced, Lord.
You took our shame, You paid the price,
You bore our iniquities and,
You defeated death.

Hallelujah, is our song—
Blessed be the Name of the Lord
Who was and is and is to come.
Only in God we trust.

Give comfort to those infected
Right this very minute; be with the families.
Be with the doctors and care takers,
Be with the health officials plotting our strategy.

Savior, Lord,
When we remember Your sacrifice on the cross,
We remember nothing can stand in Your way.
You are omnipotent (all powerful).

Help us in our time of need.
Incline Your ear to our supplication,
And save us from this Covid-19,
As You continue to save us from our sin.

For You reign on high,
You are alive. You were raised
On the third day. O death,
Where is thy sting?

It was defeated on Calvary!
And hope lives on,
To carry us today through our cross
That we may reign with Him when the day comes.

Amen.
