Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Texas has been busy! After an extra-long Texas Legislative Session—one regular and two special sessions—Legislative Session 89 is now in the history books.
How did we fare in advancing Biblical policies that represent CWA’s Core Issues?
Legislative Victories
On the Life Issue, praise the Lord! We supported the passage of the following bills into law:
- Protection of Woman and Child Act
- Protecting Women in Safe Spaces Act
On the Education Issue, our efforts to promote moral guidance in schools led to the successful passage of the following bill:
- The Ten Commandments Act
We send a heartfelt “THANK YOU” to all our CWA of Texas members who made phone calls, contacted legislators, and – most importantly – prayed. YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE!
Our Texas Legislators know CWA of Texas as a strong group advocating for Biblical values as well as a group of prayer warriors, and they depend on your continued support.
Looking Ahead
Our next legislative session in 2027 will be challenging, as Texas continues to draw national scrutiny for our commitment to conservative, Biblical policy.
If you have ever thought, “What can I do to support conservative legislation and ensure my family and community continue to enjoy strong Biblical government?” or “I would like to visit our Capitol to see the process firsthand,” then get ready, Texas! In 2027, we are taking civic engagement to the next level with our Legislative Impact Program. Texans will travel with us to the Capitol for up-close training and on-the-ground involvement in the legislative process. Real education. Real access. Real influence.
Planning has already begun, and in 2026, we will put this plan into motion to be ready for Legislative Session 90 in 2027. Please watch for more information on how to get involved!
