Earlier this month a Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Texas delegation traveled to Washington, D.C., to lobby Congress regarding the effort to defund big abortion. Myself, Legislative Liaison Mary Smith, and CWA’s Young Women for America Ambassador Riley Waddell participated. We joined other CWA grassroots leaders from around the country to tell Congress to “Slash the Cash, Save the Kids” in their budget negotiations.
We visited the offices of U.S. Representatives Chip Roy (R-District 21), August Pfluger (R-District 11), Keith Self (R-District 3), Craig Goldman (R-District 12), Randy Weber (R-District 14), Michael Cloud (R-District 27), Roger Williams (R-District 25), and Dan Crenshaw (R-District 2).
We are pleased to report that the House has passed this reconciliation bill! Thanks be to God! This historic effort ends forced taxpayer funding of abortion and transgender surgeries, upholding the sanctity of Life and biological truth.
ACTION: Now, as Senate members consider all spending measures, reach out to our U.S. Senators John Cornyn (R) and Ted Cruz (R) and ask them to prioritize stopping public funds from going to businesses that perform abortions.
PRAYER: Father, we thank You for life and for who You created us to be. Thank You that You created us to have a relationship with You. Please alert the U.S. Senate to this truth and urge them to protect life as You created it. Help our nation uphold Your morality and truth that respects the dignity of the born and unborn.
