On September 10, our nation experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. The loss of Charlie Kirk, a bold disciple of Jesus Christ and co-founder of Turning Point USA. This is a sobering reminder that Christians are not promised an easy life – but we are called to stand firm, speaking the truth in love.
“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” – Ephesians 4:13
Concerned Women for America (CWA) of North Dakota extends our deepest condolences to Erika Kirk, their children, Charlie’s parents, family, and friends. His mission to promote conservative Christian values and encourage young people to speak truth with courage has left a lasting legacy.
Throughout public forums, Charlie demonstrated unwavering boldness, faithfully proclaiming Biblical truth. His life will be remembered as a testimony to standing for righteousness in love.
U.S. Rep. Julie Fedorchak (R-North Dakota-District at-large) reflected on this loss at a memorial service in Bismarck on Sunday, September 14, at New Song Church beginning at 16:39.
“Now it is up to us to continue his work, to defend our principles, and to share why they matter for America’s future. And above all, we must never stop pointing people to Jesus Christ, the source and strength of our comfort and our hope.”
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” – Mark 12:30-31
Please join CWA of North Dakota in prayer for:
- Erika, their children, Charlie’s parents, sister, and all who feel the weight of this loss.
- The next generation – that they would rise up with courage to keep their eyes on Jesus and stand firm in faith.
“and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” -2 Corinthians 5:15
We become more like Jesus when we stand for what’s right, no matter the cost.
