Concerned Women for America of Kansas joins the millions around the country praying for the family of Justice Scalia, a vigorous defender of the Constitution and our liberties. His commitment to the text of the Constitution and the Founders’ intent was second to none.
His passing is an event that will be felt for many years to come. But his legacy will live on – a legacy that will always call us back to the Constitution – to freedom and liberty, and the highest standards as individuals and as a country. Kansans should be reminded to continue the fight for judges.
Resolution, HCR 5005 did not pass. HCR 5005 would have allowed the governor to select and the senate to confirm state judges. HCR 5004 was never discussed. (Click here to view February 2 Action Alert.) We will watch and update you on any further developments. Thank you for praying about this important resolution and contacting your representative about our concern. Your input to our Representatives on Judicial Reform was very much appreciated.
Please pray for another opportunity to change the way Kansas selects judges. We need judges who stick to the Constitution, not judges who judge by their personal convictions.

You are so valuable to CWA of Kansas, and I thank you for your faithfulness. I encourage you to contact me to find out if there is a CWA Chapter near you or request information on how to start one. These Chapters educate their members about the issues in Kansas, pray about them and act upon them. This does and will continue to bring change to our beloved State.
