Gov. Paul LePage and Senate President Michael Thibodeau (R-District 11) want to delay the implementation of recreational marijuana as passed by referendum vote on November 8.  This is necessary in order to provide more time to hash out this legislation and do everything we can to minimize risks and harms to youth and communities.

Take Action: Please call and/or e-mail both Gov. LePage and Senate President Michael Thibodeau without delay to let them know that as a member of Concerned Women for America of Maine, you support their effort to put a one-year moratorium on the implementation of recreational marijuana.  The proponents of the law are making their voices heard loud and clear, so we must do the same; hopefully, we’ll be even  louder.

  1. E-mail Senate President Thibodeau and/or call his office at (207) 287-1500.
  2. E-mail LePage and/or call his office at (207) 287-3531.
  3. Forward this e-mail to friends and family and ask them to pray and take action on this important issue.

Pray: Ask the Lord to give Gov. LePage and Sen. Thibodeau the wisdom and strength to do what they know to be right.

Thank you for being such an important part of CWA of Maine!
