Washington, D.C. — Concerned Women for America (CWA) proudly launches its annual nationwide campaign to recognize April as “Faith Month,” a celebration of the deep Christian faith that sustains countless Americans. CWA is encouraging people of faith across the country to boldly fly or display the Christian flag throughout the month.
Amid a spiritual battle for the soul of our nation and world, Concerned Women for America stands unwavering, refusing to back down or mute our faith. As Psalm 33:12 declares, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” CWA is resolute in keeping America that blessed nation by placing faith and freedom at the forefront this April.
“We urge every American to join us in boldly proclaiming April as ‘Faith Month,’ a powerful moment to hoist the Christian flag high and revel in the Judeo-Christian roots that have anchored this nation since its founding,” said Penny Nance, President and CEO of Concerned Women for America. “Radical voices may push their twisted secular agendas to silence and demean people of faith, but we stand firm on the Biblical truths carved into our founding documents. We hope millions will unite with us in celebrating our faith.”
Background
America’s foundation rests on Scriptural ideals, from the Declaration of Independence’s recognition that we are “endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights” to our National Motto, “In God We Trust,” and the Pledge of Allegiance’s call as “One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” Religious freedom, enshrined in the First Amendment as our “first freedom,” reflects this heritage. George Washington underscored the duty of nations to honor “the providence of Almighty God,” while John Adams asserted our Constitution was made for “a moral and religious people,” unfit for any other. As the nation’s largest public policy organization for women, Concerned Women for America is proud to lead this effort to refocus America on its core values. More information can be found here.
