Washington, D.C. — Concerned Women for America (CWA) wholeheartedly praises the decisive action taken today by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Education (ED), and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to cancel $400 million in federal grants and contracts to Columbia University, a critical step in holding the university accountable for its failure to protect Jewish students from anti-Semitism and harassment.

“Columbia has ignored rampant anti-Semitism on its campus for too long, neglecting its duty to students,” said Penny Nance, CEO and President at Concerned Women for America. “CWA stands with Jewish students and applauds this Administration for holding universities accountable. President Trump’s leadership sets a powerful precedent — federal funding is a privilege Columbia has forfeited. We urge other schools to reject hate and look forward to further action ensuring students safety.

We are proud to have Young Women for America student leaders on campuses across the country who took a courageous stand against the violent antisemitism displayed on our ‘elite’ institutions of education.”
