When God Blesses A Nation – Great Things Happen!

By | Wisconsin | No Comments

The final days before the 2014 mid-term elections have arrived. The path Wisconsin and America will choose is here for the voters to decide on Tuesday.

What will it be? Will citizens show up in decisive numbers to send a message loud and clear that change does not happen all that easy in this great land? That though times do vary, trends cycle in and out, the traditions and goodness that formed the foundation of this country, still solidly, stand firm?

That is my hope.

The Foundation, the Rock of our lives is none other than the Founding Father of this great nation – GOD. It is HE who we must turn to for guidance and strength. In our generation, there possibly may be no other time more critical than now to embrace the leadership and wisdom of our FATHER.

So in the final days of this election cycle when you hear people stating that they cannot wait till this is over, why not suggest the most powerful tool we own – Prayer!

As Concerned Women for America of Wisconsin, let’s launch a push to prayer for the final few days of this election cycle.

Pray for GOD to bless Wisconsin and this great nation. Let HIM know that we realize we are weak and sinful. Offer respect and humility for the blessing of being an American. Pray for HIS chosen men and women to be elected to office. Remind GOD that it is HE who must lead this nation and that it is HE to whom we commit our trust and love.

Always remember – When GOD blesses a nation, great things happen.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He chose for His inheritance.” Psalms 33:12-22

VOTE and PRAY to support this great country!

What Happened to the Voice of the People in Wisconsin?

By | Wisconsin | No Comments

Dear CWA of Wisconsin Supporter,

Federal Judge Barbara Crabb struck down Wisconsin’s ban on same-sex marriage. With a stroke of her pen, she overrode the “voice of the people” in this state.

With the assistance of the ever so busy ACLU, the will of the people of the state has been discarded by one appointed person’s opinion.

Take Action:

  1. Please read the attached press release and pass on my message to others.
  2. Call Gov. Scott Walker at 608-266-2509 and let his office know you do not support the undermining of our state constitution by one sitting judge, Barbara Crabb, who recently struck down our ban on same sex-marriage. Always be sure to be kind and courteous.
  3. Please consider a donation to CWA of Wisconsin to support the work we do standing up for religious freedoms that are under assault daily. Click HERE to donate online or send a check to the address below.

Pray: Ask the Lord to thwart the plans of those who aim to advance same-sex marriage in our great state. May He give those of us with the passion to oppose it the strategy for success.

Remember God is sovereign; His authority will triumph every time.

Concerned Women for America of Wisconsin Responds to Wisconsin Marriage Ruling

State Director, Kim Simac: What happened to the voice of the people?

Eagle River, Wisconsin – A federal judge on Friday struck down Wisconsin’s ban on same-sex marriage. U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb struck down the ban making Wisconsin the latest state to strike down voter-approved marriage decisions. Kim Simac, State Director of Concerned Women for America of Wisconsin, responded:

“What are the people of Wisconsin to think? Statewide, the discussion this past weekend has been focused on the ability of a sitting judge, with pen in hand, and her authority to override the ’Voice of the People’.

“The ‘Voice of the People’ being the fact that in 2006 Wisconsin voters overwhelmingly cast their ballots in favor of marriage between one man and one women. This decision was amended to the Wisconsin State Constitution. The amendment to the Wisconsin Constitution was obtained through proper legislative channels and was written into law. It was not simply obtained through a lawsuit or one judge’s decision; it took a vote of the people.

“Thanks to the ACLU who filed suit in Wisconsin this past spring challenging Wisconsin citizen’s position on marriage, the “Voice of the People” is being undermined.

“What if we all conducted ourselves like the ACLU? Concerned Women for America of Wisconsin would love to see taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood withdrawn in our state, but realize such a change in policy requires proper steps. With respect to our state constitution and the rule of law, we would only work to establish such a change through the proper channels. Should we simply file a suit to outlaw Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin and find a sympathetic judge to obtain such desires? Such conduct would not be acceptable to us.

“Picture a scenario where Wisconsin youth across the state organize to claim that alcohol consumption is their ‘Constitutional Right’. Should they conduct polls and when they have a favorable result to site support, hire a group like the ACLU to file suit, find a supporting sitting judge and eliminate the age limit for alcohol? Is this the path we are now to take to change law, policy and culture in our state?

“Concerned Women for America of Wisconsin is on the opposite side of this decision on marriage. We believe the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman is proven through centuries to be the strength of a society and the center of strong family foundations. But the subject here is not marriage.

“Judge Crab may have issued her decision within the boundaries of what she believes to be her authority, but one unelected person should not have the ability to simply override the voice of the people and erase an amendment to the state constitution.

“Since this sweeping decision and use of power late Friday afternoon, many Wisconsin citizens are asking legitimate questions about the weight of their opinions and the actual value of their vote. If all that is needed to obtain change in Wisconsin is a filed lawsuit and a judge’s pen, why not send the Governor, Attorney General and all the legislators home?

“The hard working people of Wisconsin would like an explanation of just how it is ‘their voice’, though it may be the voice of millions, is nothing next to a sitting judge with a pen in her hand.”

Intrusive Sex-Education Survey in Wisconsin Schools

By | Wisconsin | No Comments

Did you know across the state of Wisconsin high school students are being subjected to surveys and class study on pre-marital sex? Last week my grandson brought home an assignment titled “Am I Ready?” The paper asked a series of inappropriate questions that arguably promoted the thinking that sex is common and such activity as minors is normal.

In addition the teacher did a chalk board explanation of the difference between Heterosexual and Homosexual and why it is acceptable behavior.

What are our children to think?

Yesterday Dr. Vic Eliason took up this issue on his radio show, VCY America – Crosstalk. Please take a few minutes to listen to this important podcast.

In addition here is a letter to the editor published in the Vilas County News Review by my daughter that is a must read.

We must get involved with what our tax dollars are supporting and, more importantly, what our children are being exposed to in classes across the state. We need YOU to call your school, and ask them for copies of the health curriculum and teacher guides. We need to develop a network of Concerned Women in Wisconsin who are willing to organize and work to offer solutions to this type of inappropriate teaching.

Can I count on you to join us? Please consider sending me a reply and signing up to be a part of this effort.

Please consider donating to this effort as well. All tax-deductible gifts will go to help CWA of Wisconsin lead on these and other issues that must be addressed if we are to save any remnant of our moral fabric.

We will be leading this effort from Eagle River for today, but we must make this a state-wide effort if we are to be successful at ending this secular humanistic curriculum that is currently sweeping through our public schools.

Please listen to and read the information provided in this e-mail. Let me know how you feel about this. I would welcome your call or e-mail at any time.

With your help, we can send a clear message of life and moral well-being for all of God’s children.

Your Immediate Action Is Needed on a Bill to Protect Our Children from Common Core in Wisconsin

By | Wisconsin | No Comments

Concerned Women for America of Wisconsin has been on the front of the Common Core battle since early last year. Common Core is an experiment destined for failure; it’s a loss of local control, loss of parental rights, loss of privacy, a high cost to the state and more. Click here to read more about the dangers of Common Core.

Finally, there is a streak of sunshine finding its way through the dark storm clouds of Common Core over Wisconsin.

Your help is needed to keep Common Core out of Wisconsin!

Sen. Leah Vukmir (R-District 5) has written a bill, SB 619, that will lead to the withdrawal from Common Core standards and give the legislature the ability to approve Wisconsin standards. Click here to read the bill.

Please TAKE ACTION TODAY. This bill is scheduled to come up for a vote this afternoon. We need YOU to call Madison and let your voice be heard for our children.
1. Contact both your Senator and Assemblyman and ask him/her to co-sponsor Senator Vukmir’s bill, SB 619. If you do not know who your legislators are and how to contact them, simply click here and fill in your address.
2. Contact Gov. Walker at (608) 266-1212 and thank him for his efforts to keep Wisconsin in control of our own education standards. Read how Gov. Walker is supporting this bill.

Please pray with me and ask the Lord to lead our legislators to make the right choice in regards to our children’s educational future.

Thanks to Sen. Vukmir we now have a chance to shift from this disastrous federal overreach. Let us do all we can to back him up in his efforts by taking action, praying and passing this alert on to a friend.

Blessings,

Kim Simac

Three Wisconsin Pro-Life Bills Need Your Help to Pass

By | Wisconsin | No Comments

Dear CWA of Wisconsin Supporter,
Did you know that here in Wisconsin Planned Parenthood receives 16 Million taxpayer dollars annually?

That amount of money would go a long way toward offering assistance and support for unwed Wisconsin mothers. Yet it seems that we are always unable to attain funds to offer help that can promote Life.

The good news is that currently we have some wonderful and committed legislators who are leading the way with three pro- life bills. These bills would offer assistance to pregnant women in need, protect unborn babies from the horror of being aborted due to gender, and protect you the taxpayer from paying for government employee abortions.

All three bills have passed the Assembly and are now stalled in the Senate. With a Republican majority in the Senate, it is frustrating to hear of a lack of swift scheduling and passage of these three bills.

This is why WE NEED YOU!

Please e-mail or call Gov. Scott Walker at (608) 266-1212 to urge his support of AB 206, 216 and 217. Ask him to let Senate leadership know that these bills must move forward.

Please e-mail or call Sen. Scott Fitzgerald at (608) 266-5660. He is the Senate leader and as a Republican should want nothing more than to see these bills pass.  Ask Senator Fitzgerald to Stand Up for Life!

Call your own state Senator and let them know you are in favor of these bills.  Click here to find out who your legislator is and how to contact them.

Below you will find specific information and links for these bills. You also will find the names of Pro-Life Hero Legislators who are keeping their campaign promises to protect our most precious and innocent, the unborn, by co-sponsoring these bills. They are our leaders for LIFE in Wisconsin. Please call and say thank you.

AB 206

This bill relates to special registration license plates displaying the words Choose Life.  Funds collected would go to assist pregnancy centers in the state.

AB 216

This bill will prevent tax dollars from paying for abortion coverage for public employees and will also prohibit the government from mandating that religious organizations, employers and institutions of higher learning provide insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs.

It was introduced by Representatives JacqueSeversonBiesBornBrooksCraigEndsleyKleefischT. LarsonMurphyMurthaNassA. Ott, Pridemore, Ripp, Sanfelippo, Schraa, Stone, Stroebel, Thiesfeldt and Tittl; cosponsored by Senators GrothmanLazichSchultzFarrow and Kedzie

AB 217

Assembly Bill 217 fights the real war on women head on by eliminating abortions performed because the baby is the “wrong” sex.

It was introduced by Representatives Kestell, Jacque, Ballweg, Bernier, Born, Brooks, Craig, Endsley, Kaufert, Kleefisch, LeMahieu, Marklein, Nass, A.Ott, Pridemore, Sanfelippo, Severson, Thiesfeldt, Tittl, Looyenga, Tranel, T.
