Sen. Jeff Sessions was stellar in his hearings last week to be the next Attorney General of the United States. The objections to his nomination have now been proven to be motivated by vicious partisan politics.
What was most shameful of all was to see his beautiful, diverse family standing behind him at the hearings, while some Democratic senators launched numerous unsubstantiated attacks aimed at scoring political points for future battles.
Several news stories have confirmed that they knew Sen. Sessions would be confirmed but wanted to make a big fuss about it to better position themselves for the upcoming Supreme Court fight. Shame on them! All Americans should condemn this type of abuse of power.
